Love Redesigned by Lauren Asher

Is this a 500+ page romance book? Yes. Is this book so well paced? Also yes. I keep picking up other books to read and they were just not doing anything for me but I kept looking at this book on my shelf and after having a hyperfixation on it for days and I FINALLY decided to read it and I don’t regret it at all. I love all the characters and how different but so alike everyone was. The closeness between Dahlia’s and Julian’s family was so refreshing to read about plus the closeness to their small town – I will forever love small town romance books that include fun activities within the town but also ones that let the reader get to know some of the side characters.
I loved Dahlia’s job and how it really brought out her personality and made her who she was. Creating two characters who love to make things from little to nothing was one of the best choices ever because it in turn brough Dahlia and Julian together.
Dahlia and Julian will forever be on my list of fav book couples – and I have to say, I haven’t cried over a book in a while but that streak ran out once I started reading this book.
One last amazing thing I noticed about this book was how small scenes in this created a foundation for the other books in this series. I can already tell who the next two couples of this series will be just by the sheer way they interacted with one another. I LOVE FORESHADOWING GUYS!
P.S.Seeing familiar characters from Lauren Asher’s previous books was so heartwarming and everytime I read their names I was like: “Omg such and such was from this book…”
“Life without you was a series of pros and cons. Risks and rewards. Black and white with very few shades of gray. But then you came back and flipped a switch inside me, flooding my world with color after a ten-year blackout, and I don’t plan on giving that up. Not now. Not ever.”

“Turns out I’d rather build a home with you than a thousand houses by myself”

“We’re working on a project together, not falling in love.”

“Until then, I plan on making this woman mine in every sense of the word. Mine to love. Mine to marry. Mine to cherish for as long as we live.”
