The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson
4.0
Reread in 2025:
Still so good, and I wasn't bored in the beginning like I was last time.
**********
To be completely honest, I had a hard time getting into this book. The beginning was boring for me. But by the middle I was interested, and by the end I couldn't put it down.
Elisa was such a relatable character. I loved her flaws - her doubts about her role as carrier of the Godstone.
I also loved the role of religion and faith in the book. I appreciated the way it mentioned that all of the groups thought that their beliefs about the Godstone were the right beliefs.
I will probably read the next book, but I won't be rushing out to get it.
