Swift and Saddled is the second book in the Rebel Blue Ranch series Lyla Sage. Like Done and Dusted, this is a fast-paced, cozy read with lovable characters. This is Wes's story, the middle child of the Ryder kids.

Do I love my family? Yes. However, I'm going to need the Ryder family to adopt me. right. now.

Quick details/tropes:
🐎 Cowboy romance
🐎 Small town romance
🐎 1st person, dual POV
🐎 Black cat x golden retriever
🐎 Found family
🐎 He falls first

What did enjoy about this book?
👉 Lyla Sage's writing style
👉 Dynamic between the FMC (Ada) and MMC (Wes)
👉 The FMC's post-divorce, self discovery
👉 Juxtaposition of rebuilding a house and two people building their lives together
👉 Ryder family dynamic
👉 Tension & pining // Wes is a consent king

What could have been better?
👉 I wanted more character development from Wes — he didn't get as deep a storyline as Brooks
👉 Ada would've benefitted from therapy and having a bit more self awareness
👉 Felt there was some loose threads with Ada's divorce

I can't wait for Lost and Lassoed 🤠
