This was unexpectedly gripping. Georgia is trapped in an underground prison, kept by the vampires who are taking out the human race. They think she knows something about the murder of the vampire leader's son, but she can't seem to remember anything, even under their compulsion. 

Surviving is all she can hope for now, and Valen seems to be oddly determined to help her. She is a lesser being to most of them, but Valen is protecting her for some reason, despite the deadly threat against her. If only she could remember...
