Não li o livro original, por isso acho que isso prejudicou um pouco a minha experiência e, consequentemente, a classificação. No entanto, achei a história muito intrigante e marcante.
Achei, porém, que o grafismo foi, por vezes, peculiar, especialmente no caso da Scout, que parecia muito mais velha do que a idade que tem. Além disso, senti que, por vezes, estávamos a ver as mesmas cenas/frames repetidas vezes, e foi isso que acabou por influenciar a descida da nota.
Achei também que a Scout foi, por vezes, ligeiramente irritante, e não fazia muito sentido tendo em conta a narrativa apresentada.

Quanto à história, a mensagem é poderosa e contém diversos pontos que merecem ser refletidos, e espero que este livro continue a ser partilhado e que mais pessoas consigam interiorizar a sua mensagem principal. O facto de este livro ainda ser tão relevante nos dias de hoje só demonstra que, apesar de termos evoluído, foram passos muito pequenos.

Algumas pessoas dizem que é uma leitura lenta. Percebo que a história demora a arrancar, mas senti que havia algo que nos puxava a querer continuar e descobrir mais.

Acredito que este é um livro que vai ficar comigo durante muito tempo.

🇬🇧 This book was a gift from my dear friend Francisco, and I’m incredibly grateful to him.

I haven’t read the original book, so I believe that affected my experience and, consequently, my rating. However, I found the story really intriguing and striking.
That said, I thought the artwork was a bit peculiar at times, especially with Scout, who looked much older than her actual age. I also felt like we were seeing the same scenes/frames over and over again, and that was something that lowered my rating.

Additionally, I found Scout to be slightly annoying at times, and it didn’t always make sense considering the narrative being presented.
As for the story itself, the message is powerful and holds several important reflections. I truly hope this book keeps being shared and that more people can take its main message to heart. The fact that this book is still so relevant today only proves that, despite some progress, we’ve taken very small steps.

Some people say it’s a slow read. I understand the story takes a while to get going, but I felt there was something pulling me to keep reading and find out more.

I believe this is a book that will stay with me for a very long time.
