I would like to thank GRR for the opportunity to read and review this ARC.
Unfortunately this just wasn't for me, but i can totally see why this would appeal to other readers. Super hot spice and a cute friend group, but overall the vibe just wasn't my thing. i didn't feel ren and maddox's connection, maddox's mantrums were an interesting choice for MC characterization, the bigotry was icky and unpleasant (as it should be), and all the moving pieces just felt so ott/extra (parents, gwen, missy, slurs, emo iq, etc) that i found it all trifling. All in all, this was an easy, light read with good pace and a sweet friend group, but the rest of this was a miss for me.
