Going through King’s backlist, it’s interesting the things he’s kept and the things he didn’t.

I went in fairly blind, minus the pop-culture references that one inevitably runs into, so I was pleasantly surprised this was an epistolary novel. Even from his first book, he already has that signature prose. It really is incredible how recognizable his writing is between Carrie and, say, Doctor Sleep or Fairy Tale.
