Vin WTF. I have to remember he is close in age to Tahli and continues to suffer from his trauma. He doesn’t want to seem too needy or fully reveal his vulnerabilities all of the time. Vin made some serious mistakes by remaining in that other life as well as maintained connections to certain people and things that caused some serious damage to his relationships. Tahli made her mistakes too. However, she thought her stuff didn’t stink. Vin rooted his entire existence to Tahli and their family; he didn’t leave room for much else. FRFR, Vin didn’t really have anybody else. Tahli needed to have control over everything in her world based on the ideals and expectations she constructed; there was really no room for error. She also wanted things to work out her way and when they didn’t, Tahli couldn’t handle it very well. She also missed her carefree life. There was no going back, not for any of the characters in this book. The choices of both Vin and Tahli now impact their children. Chile, my feelings are all over the place lol. I loved this second installment just as much as the first. The love between Vin and Tahli is something to behold; I truly hope that their flame keeps burning. Highly recommended read.
