This is my all time favorite book. It's what got me into reading and into dystopia novels.

The Giver is a classic dystopia novel, highlighting that "perfect" isn't always perfect. The unique part of this book is that it shows the cost and consequences of creating a "utopian" society. Jonas and The Giver are both dynamic characters, and watching Jonas grow is heart breaking but amazing.
