The Echo of Old Books by Barbara Davis
4.0
Dual timelines and a story within a story. It was a creative plot line and I really enjoyed the execution. I listened to this one and that may have impacted how I received it because I really felt placed in two timelines by the narrators.
When two bound books with no authors show up Ashlyn becomes curious, even more so when they seem to be two sides of one story. This ended up being a love story and I'm so glad I read it. Long buried secrets from years prior of love, betrayal, social standing, arranged marriage, tragedy and family.
If you like your tea hot, this one is a good one to pick up. It's easy to let your emotions get swept away by fiction, but what happens when it's rooted in truth. Ashlyn is determined to find the authors and get some answers.
