i really, truly wanted this to be 4.5-5 stars, but i think it was missing something. i’ve loved this series since i read dark succession and i couldn’t wait to get my hands on the other books as the new covers came out, yet this one seemed to have been missing a puzzle piece. it would have been nice to have an epilogue and get a little closure for the series as a whole, but i’m glad that things ended how they did regardless. keira has always been strong and she finally realises it in this book, even if it’s unfamiliar territory. i would’ve liked to see more of romantic dmitri, but there was a bunch of other stuff happening in this book to make that a priority. i still really enjoyed their story and i’m sad that this is the last book in the series </3
