Patron Saints of Nothing by Randy Ribay

5.0

"It strikes me that I cannot claim this country’s serene coves and sun-soaked beaches without also claiming its poverty, its problems, its history. To say that any aspect of it is part of me is to say that all of it is part of me."

Patron Saints of Nothing is a really powerful book and if I could, I would like to forget I read this book so I can experience it for the first time. It’s a tearjerker and an eye-opening book that underlines the war on drugs in the Philippines. If you want to know more about what’s happening in the Philippines, this book can absolutely give you more insight into the issue.

RTC! (seriously i'm currently writing the review right now)
