(3.5 stars) After waiting a little while to rate it and review it, I would say the plot twists had me freaking out at the time, but now they’re not very memorable. I don’t really remember the first half of the book that well, and there were some plot holes: SPOILER When she got a phone call telling her to get away from the husband, it’s never talked about again, and the part where she got stopped in the grocery store because of she was believed to be a shoplifter is never explained or mentioned again. I also would have loved it if we got a look into the husband's childhood, where he got the punishment, and the torturing mentality, especially after the mother talks about him being punished. A good book if you like absurd plot twists and even more absurd characters, but the book was mostly vibes, and the first half didn’t have that much substance in my opinion.
