Not knowing the Peter Pan story probably helped me enjoy this more. From bits and pieces I heard about over the years I guess Peter Pan Tinker bell and Wendy are good and Hook is bad. Remember this is NOT a retelling of that story but a quirky twisty,. smutty, violent etc brand new story.


Hook suffered a horrible childhood and has put up many walls around him as he built a criminal empire. Peter seems on the surface a respectable businessman but when you peel his layers away and learn his secrets he is not what you think he is and is it better or worse.

This would be a 5 star read, but it was easy to pick up and put down until Hook begins to put is motion for revenge into play. Only a lot of what he knows, thinks and who he trusts will make him question everything.
