This was really good and I got the idea, but the writing and overall execution was... mediocre at best? It was easy for me to put it down even though a part of me was invested because it was just so simple. I kept trying to force myself to not focus on the writing as much but I just couldn't. The writing in books is very important to me.

There were also a lot of things that happened in the time I started and finished this book so it took more than a month to finish this finally. It's a surprise I didn't drop it to be honest. I'm 90% sure I'll pick up the second book but I don't think I'll have that much regret if I don't. 

Oh but I have to give my kudos to the plot twist in the ending with Danny, I did not see that coming at all. I hope book 2 and book 3 has more of that.
