Twin sisters barely getting by in the human world suddenly find out they’re fae, and not just any fae, but the long-lost heirs to the murdered king and queen. Their new home? A brutal academy where only the strongest survive, the magic is deadly, and the celestial heirs (aka the hottest, most dangerous guys on campus) would rather see them fail than take their rightful place. With new powers to master, secrets to unravel, and enemies lurking everywhere, they’ll have to fight for their throne and their lives.
I totally get the hype, magical schools, sizzling rivalries, and a school where detention could actually kill you? Yes, please. The graphic audio made it feel like a full-on production, though at 2x speed, the music gave chaotic fantasy rave energy. The twin POVs were tricky to tell apart, but maybe that’s easier in print? My biggest gripe? The weird and unnecessary mentions of weight, so outdated and cringe. Otherwise, this would make an epic TV show. So. Much. Eye candy.
