I would first like to thank the Author Taylor James for an arc of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

This book is an insta-love, brothers friend/teammate, coach's daughter, forbidden romance.

I really loved Remington. He was the absolute best MMC. Remington was so patient with Scarlet and understanding and I loved that about him. I also really enjoyed how he wasn't a "player" before getting together with our FMC Scarlet and how once he knew he wanted a relationship with her he was all in.

Scarlet is feisty, sassy but also reserved. The girl knows exactly who she is and I loved that! I loved her drive for her career and when she opened up and allowed Remington in was perfect. I loved Scarlet with Remington. The way she lights up around him and is herself was perfect for these two.

I had a few things I didn't love about this book. Her brother and how over protective he was and some of the comments I couldn't get on board with. I understand he has a background and there are reasons but I really wanted him to back off. Heck even her dad who knows her trauma was more understanding and level headed with trusting his daughter.

The s*x scenes. I love a good s*x scene in a book but these were somewhat long and I could not get on board with the "daddy" kink in this book. I think it's because (for me at least) we see her relationship with her dad and she calls him daddy and then calling Remington that it was just kind of ick for me.

Overall if you are looking for a fun and quick read this one would be good!
