Gore. Religion. Menopause. It’s definitely got everything. I keep trying to decide how to describe this book. I can’t even decide if I really liked it or if it was just disturbing or both is definitely not a book for every person the violence, including towards animals is very tough to swallow at the same time. It feels like a Stephen King novel with a very definite commentary on society, I don’t know. it’s just weird and compelling
