Once again Allen Eskens has written a stunning book with fabulous characters and lots of emotional angst. While this is supposed to be book 2 in his Boady Sanden series it easily reads as a stand alone. This one touched on religion, what it means to be a parent, custody battles, mental illness and how it is treated. Fans of Kent Kreuger should definitely try Allen Eskens.
