I don't know how I feel about this if I'm completely honest. It didn't evoke any special feelings towards the characters or plot. Sure, I wanted to keep reading but I enjoyed the style of prose more than the important elements of a story. I suppose that's also questionable, if Normal People really does have a story to it. This took me three attempts to get into on three separate occasions, not sure if I would say third time lucky though. But if you like contemporary fiction with a contemporary style of prose then give this book a go.
