I found the characters and themes very interesting, but the overall plot and how it unfolded felt a little convoluted. Especially as more things were revealed, it left me going “wait but why then—?” an awful lot. 

Still, a very important book, with a much more satisfying ending than that Promising Young Woman movie ugh.
