“You are not what happened to you. You are what you do next.”

Don’t take me wrong – this book was good for about 30 percent but after that I didn’t have that much fun. I feel like there was too much going on halfth time and it separated from the actual “love story” which is sad because it was a intrestating one at the start.

“Maybe home isn’t a place. Maybe it’s a person.”

My favorite parts of the book though came from the 6 months part of the book. Everything started to come together more especially once Emma took some time for herself and we as an audience got away from Emma’s mother. I would’ve rather liked Justin’s mother and his mothers best friend because they were hilarious. Especially when they found their little “trash pandas”. Justin’s family as a whole though were so wholesome to read about. To me they actually felt like a real family and less of a fictional one.

I know I previously said my favorite parts of the book came from after the 6 months, I still think the way Emma came back into Justin’s life was a little too stereotypical for me and I saw it coming when I read that Sarah had called her.

In the end Maddy is definitely my favorite character because she was the kind of no nonsense character and she saw through Emma’s moms. In fact she reminds me of myself because I’m also able to see through people’s BS.

Overall the book was a hilarious and heartfelt experience but I wish I could’ve gotten more from the storyline.
