The Brontës: Wild Genius on the Moors: The Story of a Literary Family by Juliet Barker
challenging

4.0
This rating really undersells how much of a slog the first half is. But the back half is fascinating, and I heartily enjoy the deeply snarky tone the author takes with most of the existing Bronte scholarship. And a third of the page count is footnotes, so it's really only 750 pages or so.
Moderate: Chronic illness and Death
