THE SANDMAN is the fourth installment in the Joona Linna series, but it can be read as a standalone. It is freaking amazing. I love everything Lars Kepler does. Seriously; so good. This book is pretty scary. It’s dark, violent and gory. It’s tense and keeps you on the edge of your seat. It is a fairly quick read despite its 449 pages. The chapters are short, so it keeps you moving right along. Just one more chapter, am I right? 😬 As always, the plot and characters are utter perfection. I read Lazarus first, and it really helped connect the dots reading them out of order like that. However, I definitely will need to reread Lazarus again now that I’m reading the books in order. If you’re into dark and graphic crime novels, then this one is for you. Highly recommended! Definitely one of my favorites for the year.
