My Favorite Half-Night Stand by Christina Lauren
3.0
I really enjoyed this book, however it isn’t my favorite by these two very endearing writers. My guess is had I not read it JUST after finishing Josh and Hazel it probably would have been a 4 star read.
So all of the men in Millie’s friend group are a very likeable bunch. However Reid is the one she’s into. I get it, he’s charming, smart, and an all around good guy. I did find him a little two dimensional though. Millie on the other hand I related to A LOT!! She has issues with opening up, her childhood was hard for her. She has to learn to stop viewing it with a kids eye, and finally come to grips with it from an adult perspective. Unfortunately during that road to discovery she makes a few wrong decisions, however as you can expect it has a happy ending.
This love story was a bit less cutesy and a bit more real on the delving into emotional hang ups. If parental death is a trigger for you then I’d suggest skipping this one!!
