The Triple Goddess by Stephanie Hudson

3.0

Book Three was... difficult

Three picks up with Keira's kidnapping from Book Two and a lot of answers are revealed in this book as to who Keira is and her significance. We are introduced to an array of new characters. Lucious as her captor introduces us to Imp, Pipper and Adam (who is a whole other thing all together!). Lucious is holding Keira for hostage until a priceless relic is returned from Dominic. Keira soon finds unlikely allies and complicated relationship with the men in her lives.

I really struggled with this book. Only because I couldn't stand the notion that Keira could have possibly cheated on Draven with her captor. Also, I really didn't like the fact that Aurora was still a factor in their relationship. Draven was even nastier in this book than he was in any of the others. He constantly flip-flopped between being loving and precious with Keira to treating her like a child when she questioned or disobeyed him. What I disliked the most is the fact that Vincent appears to have feeling of love for Keira and she seems to feel something for him in return. Why the triangle?

By the end of all the drama, new alliances were formed, and Keira and Dominic finally found peace with one another... for a while. The stunning cliffhanger knocked me off my feet. I was devastated. I detest books where one of the main characters are killed. I prefer HEAs. I signed up for suspense and intrigue. Maybe a little scary stuff. But, I did not fall in love with Dominic Draven only to have him be killed off.

My reviews for this series started at five stars and sadly, have dwindled down to three. I don't know how many stories in this book have to do with this couple, but this latest chapter has led me to question whether or not to continue this series. I will probably move on to book four. However, if the outcome is the same as where this one left off. There will be no Book Five for me!
