This was a quick read, and very lighthearted and cute. I thought I was getting tired of retelling, but turns out I was just getting tired of a certain author 😂 This was I was happy to read and kept wanting more.

I do wish that the romance and war portions were more fleshed out. The story was so well done giving us background and seeing all the lead up, but then the ending felt a little rushed. It's such a short book, more pages definitely could have been added to give more life to the end!

Still a good book though, and I'm glad I finally got to read it.
