The Floating Book by Michelle Lovric
Did not finish book.
I got to page 137.
I think the blurb let the book down because I didn't realise how many storylines I would have to follow. I'd started with one set of characters I'd became invested with but then the story changed to a different set of characters that initially I was interested with but then became bored and irritated with. And the story hadn't gotten to anything 'juicy' yet. and the representation of women at this point was mostly that they were just cold hearted whores and would be the villains of this story, with no real explanation other than 'they're mean in order to survive' which didn't feel like a good enough reason.
Or maybe it's just me.
