The House Across the Lake by Riley Sager

mysterious medium-paced

4.0

Can you tell I’m a dedicated @rileysager reader? From the first book of his that I picked up, I was hooked. The twisty, turny, unexpected, stories of his are just what I live for in a thriller.

His latest, THE HOUSE ACROSS THE LAKE, starts with the very cliche story of a woman, drinking her days away, and spying on her neighbors. With many of Sager’s books, he starts with a plot that makes you think you know what’s going to happen. In this case, that is exactly the case - almost making fun of the cliche.

I am leaving it at that, because with any of his books, I encourage you to pick up the book without knowing things. The influence of social media is real, but try to stay away for this one!! See how shocked you are with how it ends up… 🤯🫢
