The Do-Over by Suzanne Park

3.0

To be honest, this is leaning more on women's fiction since the story revolved on how the female MC navigated the process of doing over her life ten years after graduation.

The romance is only injected in the background and is a secondary element. If you'll look at the cover, you'll think it's a romance or romcom but it's a women's fiction that discusses heavy themes such as living in an Asian-American household, academic pressure, and the effects of the two mentioned to one's mental health.

I really liked the discussion about self-sabotage and how Lily Lee managed to put Cameron O'Hara (an entitled cishet male) in his rightful place (trash)

But overall, since my expectations is geared to having a romance/romcom experience it affected my reading journey.
