A Dark and Drowning Tide by Allison Saft

As a german, I need to say that reading this book was a bit annoying. This book is like german-folklore inspired so all the names, places, literally everything were german words. And well, it was annoying to read this mix of english and german. Also, these words were spoiling the story sometimes. What I mean is that I knew what the words for some places meant while the main characters were still trying to figure out what it was.

The main reason why I chose to read this book was the sapphic love story and the dark academia vibe (which is perfect for autumn imo). And it wasn't bad but it also wasn't as good as I thought it would be. The plot wasn't one of the best ones I've ever read and the romance was cute but again: not the best thing I've ever read.
