I continued because someone compared it to Mr Penumbra's, but whoever said that clearly missed the point of that book
When every single review, positive and negative says "I didn't really like it at first and it took forever to get into" that book probably isn't worth your time. This takes forever to go anywhere, the characters are flat, the story is not compelling. The concept could be cool, it's simply bogged down in so much extraneous filler that doesn't add depth nor intrigue
There has got to be another trademark map town in existence. I mean you could've made one up. Instead they use the same one from Paper Towns so you can't help having flashbacks to your John Green era every time they mention it.
