All the Summers In Between by Brooke Lea Foster

4.0

Set in the 1960s and 70s (two timelines 10 years apart) during the summer, All the Summers in Between is the story of two very different women, Margot and Thea. They work together in a record store (love) and develop a strong friendship. Something happens one night in August that splits them apart, such that they don’t see each other for over ten years. When they reunite, it’s because Margot has sought out Thea, who just can’t seem to turn her away.

In many ways, this is a coming-of-age for both women, and a powerful story of friendship. The Hamptons made for such a fun and interesting backdrop. It’s a page-turner and so thought-provoking. Just how far would you go to help a friend? I loved the music references! All the Summers in Between is a summer read with great depth to it.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this dramatic story about the trials of friendship.

I received a gifted copy.
