I liked this book, but some things Tag did during their breakup didn’t sit well with me. They definitely need to work on communication to avoid situations where they don’t share important things with each other. Lily's insecurity and Tag unknowingly feeding that insecurity need addressing. For instance,

Tag didn’t tell Lily about his hypoglycemic shock because he knew she was insecure about Blaire. He also didn’t mention going to a party with Blaire, knowing Lily didn’t like her. He never questioned why Lily felt uncomfortable with Blaire.

Lily should have voiced her concerns, but Tag should have questioned it, especially when he says, "I know you’re not an insecure person." If he believed that, why didn’t he question her discomfort? 

 

Writing this review makes me even madder. Tag is a great guy, and he and Lily had a lot of cute moments together, but they need to talk more. I wanted to see him explain things better! 

 

P.s. I love that Schitt’s Creek is getting it’s moment.
