I really enjoyed this book! It’s my new second favorite book in the series which is no surprise since it picks up where my favorite book, When We Left Cuba, left off. We learn more about Isabel, Beatriz, and their mother, both in Barcelona in the 1960s and Barcelona in the 1930s. Chanel Cleeton rights about love and war and politics with such great care, it is amazing, and easy to get swept up in another Perez sisters story.
