Happy to have finally read this. I thought the whole premise and themes were super interesting and the execution was very effective. I could have gone without some of the portions about Ellen. Granted, I don’t think we are meant to see our main character as super likable, but his thoughts about her did throw me off. But who knows? Maybe that was to show how human hatred keeps persisting despite that having been what led them to where they are now.
