Final Orders by Gregory Ashe
5.0
As usual, another amazing installment to the Hazard and Somerset series! That last line from Colt, gah! Final Orders had a great mystery, very grounded in reality and recent culture war headlines. Gregory Ashe also explores more depths in the relationship between Colt, Hazard and Somerset, this time focusing more on Colt’s friendship with Ash and their role as parents and figuring out what to do when Colt makes some “big” mistakes.
This installment also focused more on John-Henry and how he grapples with his past bullying of Hazard once again. This time triggered by the events of the mystery. I can’t wait to see what Gregory Ashe does next in this series, another “season”? - I’m not sure if he has more in store for Hazard and Somerset but I will gladly read more. I also would love to see more of Nico and Dulac. Both seem to have very unfinished stories, especially Dulac, that I could see some more books dedicated to their characters. If so, I can’t wait! Definitely recommend!
