Not only the book was really enjoyable and the MCs had a lot of chemistry, the author treated some topics with the care they deserved:

A bi-awakening that it's not stereotypical
Being aware of the power imbalance between manny and dad
The mother who is not able to care for her kids (financially and because she doesn't have a support system) is never demonized
