Now Is Not the Time to Panic by Kevin Wilson
3.0
Kevin Wilson’s latest novel is about two teenagers who create a quirky art flyer with a lyrical catchphrase and begin to plaster copies all over town. The poster gains notoriety and a strange cult following, and the two teenagers’ lives are forever changed by this one lazy summer.
I appreciated so many things about the novel as Wilson truly captures the angsty, overly introspective mind of a highly creative teenager. However, this book did not capture my interest as much as “Nothing to See Here” did. It has a tone of sadness throughout that does not balance with lighter moments, and the characters became more caricatures as the story unfolded.
