Booked for Death by Victoria Gilbert

3.0

I loved the literary references in this book, plus the idea of a special trip and events in celebration of an author. I thought the crime was really well done and everyone was a viable suspect until the end. I felt like there were enough clues for the reader to get to the same conclusion as Charlotte, which is one of my favorite parts of a cozy mystery, so that helped the rankings. I also liked the realistic setting and bits of history about Beaufort and the surrounding areas. Next I'm going to read the second book in the series, which can be make or break in terms of if I continue on with the same author/series.
