I read Off Plan by May Archer before starting the Love in O'Leary series and honestly, I'm kind of glad I did! I didn't get much in the way of the citizens of O'Leary in that book, but it made these books that much better to read.
The Fall follows the story of Silas Sloane and Everett Maior. Silas is one of a handful of members of the O'Leary PD and had no interest in commitment until he picked up Everett and his cat, Daphne, on the side of the road. Everett, who lost his husband and who was forced into taking care of his grandfather in little O'Leary, NY, was less than pleased with his situation and the man who was thrusting himself into Ev's life.
Following a cast of cute af couples, some mysterious disappearances, a stranger in the middle of a winding road, and teenage antics in two grown men, this was a fabulous introduction to Archer's world of O'Leary! And Ev's grandfather, Henry Lattimer, will totally grow on you. Damn, he's such a cute, grumpy old man. Heh.
