The Wild Rose by Doris Mortman
Did not finish book. Stopped at 7%.
This is an interesting historical novel about some terribly traumatic events and I just could not push myself through it. Once it started describing the torture scenes during Zoltán's imprisonment, I knew I wouldn't be able to stomach it.
Graphic: Death, Racial slurs, Racism, Rape, Sexual assault, Torture, Kidnapping, Religious bigotry, and Murder
Given that I only made it a few pages past chapter 3, it's accurate to say that this is only the tip of the iceberg of the content warnings required for this book.
