The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
5.0
True to the 5 stars, it was amazing! I really loved this book.
*FLASHBACK*
After sitting around and wondering about what the [b:The Lord of the Rings|33|The Lord of the Rings (The Lord of the Rings, #1-3)|J.R.R. Tolkien|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1521850178s/33.jpg|3462456] was, and hearing about the TV show, and seeing people in costumes, I decided that I needed to be in on this. I searched it up, and it was recommended to me that I should read [b:The Hobbit|5907|The Hobbit|J.R.R. Tolkien|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1372847500s/5907.jpg|1540236] first. And so I did.
Ok, so I started it and was a little overwhelmed by the dwarves at first. Gandalf also kind of scared me, because he was a wizard, you know. And Bilbo was super annoyed and confused too, and that equals a confused JJ.
But then I thought it was super fun, because, AH! Trolls, dwarves, hobbits, wizards, elves, men, goblins, oh my! I also got really excited when I could recite all the dwarf names.
The writing style was classic, but not boring, and it was still able to include fantasy and adventure. I also really, really liked how you could see the change in Bilbo throughout the story. As well as how some of the dwarves changed too.
I think this is a book that anyone should read, and one that is almost perfect for all ages.
