Wind and Truth by Brandon Sanderson

2.5

What made this book somewhat bearable was my enjoyment of all the previous installments and the attachment I had developed to the cast. On its own, however, this specific installment was quite horrendous. A couple of spoiler-free cons:
  1. The writing was particularly obnoxious and heavy-handed in this one, especially regarding mental health. I did find it more subtle in Rhythm of War.
  2. Loads of info dumps as well. Cool if you're doing a cosmere PhD I guess.
  3. Too many POVs, useless ones at that. Some could have been removed and it would not have changed a thing except the length of the book.
