Bad Blood by Alexandra Keillor
5.0
I would like to thank GRR for the opportunity to read and review this ARC.
This was AMAZING for a debut! I loved absolutely everything about this, and I srsly would not have minded if this was 500 pages longer because I could not get enough of this! The narrative style was energetic and flowed really well. The characterizations were all unique and memorable. The world is a dynamic and familiar one, but Alexandra Keillor gave it a nice spin with some flair and I was FULLY immersed from Page 1!
I loved Kieran and Lucien! They were so googly-eyed sweet for each other, and I thought that it was one of the more sincere and patient mate-bond love stories in a sub-genre that usually goes straight to the naked heat. And because I prefer sexy romances with some emotional resonance, I thought their relationship unfolded in the most lovely way!
I liked that it takes a while for this story to build, for this romance to bloom, for the high stakes to take shape. And there's still a lot of intrigue left that has me hooked on this duet, and I think that's absolutely brilliant!
Bad Blood was fun, engaging, sexy and interesting, and I loved every second I'd spent discovering Alexandra Keillor's Monsters of London! Excited to dive right into Book 2, because I think Blood Ties will be mega energy and I can't wait to find out how all of this will turn out!
