Sometimes the hardest job in the world is babysitting somebody's dog and a polecat while that person is on holidays. You have to face strawberry milkshakes, dogs peeing on you, angry ghosts angry ghosting your wishes, and trying to pass all school subjects at the same time. All that only to be able to go to your dream college... Typical.

While it took me a while to get into this book, it was still really fun and Helicopter Mom Hecate is actually hilarious as a character. Also, you can see that at the time of writing this Rick was probably reminding himself what exactly happened in the Sea of Monsters book lmao.
