I'd seen this book recommended in many sapphic book recommendation videos, so I gave it a try and it's safe to say I don't regret it.
Both main characters feel fleshed out and like real people, I do wish the romance was...more, I don't know how to describe it. I really enjoyed seeing Ishu develop a stronger relationship with her older sister, Nik, and seeing Hani realize her self-worth and get better friends. I ended up relating to both characters, Ishu being the quiet, forgettable kid in the back in the class and Hani with her bisexuality and people-pleasing tendencies.

Graphic: Biphobia, Homophobia, Racism, Islamophobia, and Toxic friendship
