This is such a horrifying and heartbreaking case. I found out about Shanda and this book on Morbid: A True Crime Podcast, and hearing about what happened to her hurt me in a way that really nothing else involving true crime ever has. I feel, now, like I should make the effort to be aware of her case and remember it.
