I don’t really have words to describe this trilogy . . . I just really loved it. Despite how book 2 ended, we find the characters recovering at Murdo's estate. Their domestic bliss seems like it might be fleeting, with David getting better he has no real reason to stay with Murdo, but a promise to his mentor demands he accompany Murdo to London. Both of their pasts come to plague them, but Murdo's solution to their predicament(s) was inspired and ingenious.

Again, these audiobooks are excellent; I wish the narrator had more books, but seems to record exclusively for Joanna Chambers!
