I really loved this! This was very well paced and an easy read to ease back into it after a rough semester. The mythology was interesting without feeling like effort was needed to understand. The twist caught me crazy off guard, and it was very well written. I do kind of wish the time jump hadn’t happened and we’d gotten more of Indir and Ovis’ story after leaving Alcanzeh up to Indir finding Saya, hence the star deduction. I’m mad the sequel isn’t out yet, I can’t wait to read!
